CICC: Expected second quarter net profit of Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388.HK) to increase by 13% year-on-year, rated "outperform" in the industry.

According to the Zhuokai Financial APP, Zhongjin released a research report predicting that the net profit of Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388.HK) in the second quarter will be 5.04 billion Hong Kong dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13%, and a decrease of 3% quarter-on-quarter. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited plans to disclose its quarterly results on August 19. The bank predicts that the company's revenue in the second quarter will increase by 12% year-on-year and decrease by 1% quarter-on-quarter to 8.11 billion Hong Kong dollars. Excluding investment income, the main operating fee income is expected to increase by 26% year-on-year and by 2% quarter-on-quarter to 6.95 billion Hong Kong dollars. Cumulatively, it is expected that the company's total revenue and profit for the first half of the year will increase by 16% and 20% respectively, to 16.31 billion and 10.23 billion Hong Kong dollars. Considering the active increase in Northbound trading, the bank has raised its profit forecast for 2026 and 2027 by 2% and 3% respectively, to 19.6 billion and 20.9 billion Hong Kong dollars. It maintains an outperform industry rating with a target price of 520 Hong Kong dollars.
