On July 23, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association data showed that in June, new car sales in the European Union, European Free Trade Association, and the UK increased by 13% year-on-year, reaching 1.41 million vehicles. In terms of market share, the Volkswagen Group continued to lead the European market in June with a share of 24.6%, followed by Stellantis and Renault Group with shares of 13.6% and 10.5% respectively. BMW Group, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and other major car companies maintained stable market shares. Tesla's market share in Europe increased from 2.8% in the same period last year to 3.7% in June. Chinese car companies continue to expand their market share in Europe. BYD's sales in June increased by over 140% year-on-year, with a market share of 2.7%; Chery's sales increased by about 266% year-on-year, with a market share rising from approximately 0.7% in the same period last year to 2.3%; Geely's sales increased by approximately 18%, with a market share rising to 3.5%.
