Changjiang Business School: In July, the operating conditions index of Chinese enterprises rebounded to 50.1.

Changjiang Business School announced on Thursday that the China Business Operating Index for July recorded 50.1, a slight increase from 48.7 in June. The index is composed of four sub-indices calculated by arithmetic mean. This month, three sub-indices saw an increase while one saw a decrease. The Business Sales Forward-looking Index rose from 57.3 last month to 60.0 this month. The Business Profit Forward-looking Index for this month is 45.7, compared to 42.7 last month. The Business Financing Environment Index for this month is 44.3, down from 47.9 last month. The Business Inventory Forward-looking Index for this month is 50.3, up from 46.8 last month. In addition to the four indices mentioned above, Changjiang Business School also inquired about companies' expectations for cost and price situations in the questionnaire. This month, the Business Labor Cost Forward-looking Index saw a significant increase, from 63.6 last month to 70.4 this month. The Business Total Cost Forward-looking Index saw a slight increase this month, from 68.2 last month to 70.4 this month. The Consumer Price Forward-looking Index saw a small increase this month, from 44.6 last month to 46.6.
