Two departments: during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the newly installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic bases in the "Three North" regions exceeded 370 million kilowatts.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development", which proposes to accelerate the construction of wind and solar power bases in the "Three North" regions, with a focus on the "Shago Desert" region. The plan also calls for the scientific advancement of photovoltaic sand control and the pilot project for 100% green electricity export bases. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the additional installed capacity of wind and solar power bases in the "Three North" regions will exceed 370 million kilowatts.
