Zhongxin Futures: Silver rebounds following gold, but lack of participation from retail side, bullish trend still needs confirmation.
Overnight, the price of silver rebounded, with London silver reaching $60 per ounce, showing a larger volatility than gold. However, the enthusiasm of retail investors participating in this rebound is significantly lower than during the skyrocketing period at the beginning of the year, and the lack of this demand may become a resistance to further upward movement. There has been a moderate inflow into ETFs and institutional sentiment has slightly improved, but the tepid response from retail investors serves as a hedge. Short-term outlook has improved, but the sustainability of the rebound will need to be observed based on the performance of gold and whether retail funds can flow back in.
