With the approval of the State Council, the General Administration of Sport today released the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for Building a Strong Sports Nation." This is the first national special plan with the theme of "building a strong sports nation," which systematically deploys the acceleration of building a strong sports nation and promoting the high-quality development of sports during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period. The Plan proposes that by 2030, the overall quality and efficiency of sports development will be significantly improved, the comprehensive value and diverse functions will be fully displayed, sports will become a symbol of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with a more solid foundation, the per capita sports venue area will reach about 4 square meters, the proportion of people regularly participating in sports activities will reach about 40%, the excellent rate of national physical fitness will reach 31.1%, the number of world champions will rank among the forefront, and the total scale of the sports industry will exceed 7 trillion yuan.
