According to the Supreme People's Procuratorate, false litigation, also known as "fake lawsuits", seriously harm the legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved, and disrupt the judicial order and social credibility system. In recent years, with the joint efforts of various departments, the governance of false litigation has achieved significant results. From January to June 2026, national procuratorates handled a total of 3186 cases of false litigation, a decrease of 18.6% compared to the previous year, and the high incidence trend has been effectively curbed to a certain extent. Procuratorial cases have found that false litigation has generated new types and new forms, and its harm has surpassed the category of individual interests and gradually spread to national and social public interests, requiring sustained efforts to strengthen governance.
