Citi Group in the United States is recruiting five senior investment bankers in the technology field to expand its business and compete for global market share. According to an internal memo, Chris Gross will join Citi from Bank of America to lead business coverage in the fields of payments, financial technology, and digital assets, starting in September in New York. In addition, Citi will also add other senior bankers in San Francisco to expand its technology business in North America. Florian Pratt, Dhruv Fotadar, and Anand Agarwal will join from JPMorgan in August, while Josh Hitz will come from UBS Group. Pratt will focus on software and semiconductor companies, Fotadar will be responsible for business coverage in the software and artificial intelligence fields for enterprise infrastructure clients, Agarwal will focus on semiconductor and artificial intelligence companies, and Hitz will strengthen Citi's business coverage in the software field.
