On the 20th, Houthi armed forces in Yemen warned international shipping companies that ships engaged in trade with Saudi ports could face military strikes, further expanding their previously announced maritime blockade against Saudi. On the evening of the 20th local time, the Houthi armed forces' humanitarian coordination center in Sanaa sent emails to several shipping companies, stating that the restrictions not only apply to ships flying the Saudi flag, but also to ships loading and unloading goods at Saudi ports. The notice urged shipping companies to take "appropriate precautions" when planning voyages involving Saudi ports, warning that ships involved in related trade activities could become targets within the operational range of Houthi armed forces.
