United Nations agency: More than 510 million people may still face hunger by 2030.

On July 21st local time, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the United Nations Children's Fund, the World Food Programme, and the World Health Organization jointly released the "2026 World Food Security and Nutrition Status" report. The report stated that the number of hungry people worldwide continued to decline for the third consecutive year in 2025, but it is estimated that by 2030, 5.1 billion to 5.2 billion people may still face hunger, unable to achieve the sustainable development goal of zero hunger.
