In the first half of the year, Shandong's GDP grew by 5.6%.

The Shandong Provincial People's Government Information Office held a series of press conferences with the theme "Telling the Story of Shandong's Development through Numbers", inviting spokespersons from the Provincial People's Government to introduce the economic and social situation in Shandong Province in the first half of 2026. According to the unified calculation results of the regional GDP, the GDP of Shandong in the first half of the year was 5.3173 trillion yuan, with a growth of 5.6% at constant prices. By sector, the value added of the primary industry was 301 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2%; the value added of the secondary industry was 2.0947 trillion yuan, a growth of 4.8%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 2.9216 trillion yuan, a growth of 6.4%.
