In the first half of this year, the natural gas production in the southwest oil and gas field exceeded 25 billion cubic meters.

According to China Petroleum, the largest natural gas production company in Southwest China, China Petroleum Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company achieved double growth in oil and gas production in the first half of this year, with a total production of 25.31 billion cubic meters of natural gas and oil and gas equivalent exceeding 20 million tons, reaching a historical high for the same period. As the "main force" of natural gas supply in the Southwest region, in the first half of this year, Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company drilled five high-yield industrial gas wells with a production of one million cubic meters each, increasing natural gas production by 1.296 billion cubic meters compared to the same period last year, an increase of 5.4%; crude oil production increased significantly by 62.26% year-on-year, oil and gas equivalent increased by 1.15 million tons compared to the same period last year, an increase of about 6%, reaching a historical high for the same period.
