8790 national basic hydrological stations in our country have been upgraded

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China has promoted the smart transformation of hydrological monitoring capabilities. 8,790 national basic hydrological stations have been upgraded, and the flood forecasting period for major rivers has been extended from 3 days to 10 days. With a significant increase in investment in hydrological infrastructure construction in China, there are now over 133,000 hydrological monitoring stations, effectively achieving full coverage of major rivers, their main tributaries, and small to medium-sized rivers with flood control tasks.
