On July 17, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations, co-chaired the 17th meeting of the China-Kyrgyzstan Governmental Committee on Economic and Trade Cooperation with Akunbekov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, in Bishkek. Ling Ji stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan has maintained a good development momentum, with bilateral trade running smoothly, investment and financing cooperation deepening continuously, and landmark economic and technical cooperation projects progressing smoothly. Both sides should continuously optimize the trade structure, create new growth points in service trade, digital trade, and cross-border e-commerce; strengthen cooperation in the entire industry chain of green mineral resources, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese-funded enterprises in Kyrgyzstan; make good use of various investment platforms, explore equity investment cooperation in a market-oriented manner; accelerate the negotiation of the China-Kyrgyzstan Agreement on Trade in Services and Investment to promote the establishment of China-Central Asia economic and trade institutional arrangements and promote regional economic cooperation.
