U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission: During the week of July 14, speculative investors increased their net long positions in NYMEX WTI crude oil by 11,704 contracts to 86,383 contracts. Net long positions in both Brent and WTI crude oil increased to 252,836 contracts, reaching a five-week high. Net short positions in NYMEX natural gas increased to 48,229 contracts, reaching a more than two-year high.
