National Health Commission organizes a national-level expert medical treatment rescue team to support the treatment of injured patients in Chongqing.

On July 17th around 9 o'clock, a mountain collapse occurred in Hanjia Street, Pengshui County, Chongqing. The National Health Commission promptly arranged for the National Emergency Medical Rescue Team and the Chongqing Emergency Medical Rescue Team to assemble, dispatch medical personnel and ambulances to the scene; immediately sent relevant leaders to the scene to guide medical treatment work, organized trauma, critical care, and neurosurgery specialists from Peking Union Medical College Hospital to work together with local medical staff to form a medical treatment team, carry out multi-disciplinary consultations, formulate individualized treatment plans, and make every effort to save lives and reduce disabilities. Guided Chongqing City to dispatch psychological experts to provide psychological counseling and support to the injured and their families. The National Health Commission will continue to support Chongqing City in providing medical treatment to the injured, and will increase the deployment of national-level experts as needed to minimize losses and protect lives.
