The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence began on the 17th in Shanghai. United Nations Secretary-General Guterres arrived in Shanghai on the 16th to attend the conference. In an interview with CCTV reporters, he said that artificial intelligence is closely related to everyone, and therefore the United Nations hopes that all parties will participate in the governance of artificial intelligence to ensure that artificial intelligence serves everyone, including those in the global South.
