Chinese meteorological intelligent warning solution "Mazu" Djibouti 2.0 delivered
On July 17, 2026, the World Artificial Intelligence Meteorological Conference was held in Shanghai. China's meteorological intelligent early warning system "Mazu" Djibouti 2.0 was officially delivered to Djibouti. In July 2025, the China Meteorological Administration donated a city-based multi-hazard early warning intelligent system to Djibouti, and in December of the same year, the intelligent system was deployed and put into use in Djibouti. If "Mazu" Djibouti 1.0 was a smart "meteorological brain", then 2.0 has added "eyes" for observation and "hands" for autonomous warning - its encapsulated meteorological chip and forecast model monitoring early warning intelligent terminal, combined with the already deployed intelligent system in Djibouti, form an integrated solution for "measurement-report-warning", covering the entire chain of "sky-land-model-chip-terminal", with a spatial resolution of forecast from 9 kilometers down to 3 kilometers, a forecast time of 3 days, an update frequency of 6 hours, and functions of "one-key alarm" and real-time interaction online, helping to accurately predict extreme weather, giving more confidence to port operations and ensuring public safety.
