According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, the mandatory national standard "Safety requirements for the production and installation of elevators Part 3: Elevator delivery verification" is now open for public comments. Elevator installation is a key node linking component manufacturing and overall machine commissioning. Self-inspection by the manufacturing unit before delivery is an important core control point for elevator safety, and is a key link in strengthening the safety defenses of elevators. This national standard aims to unify the requirements for elevator delivery verification projects nationwide, addressing issues such as inconsistent self-inspection standards and incomplete projects in different regions. It further strengthens the responsibility and obligations of manufacturing units for providing safety guidance and monitoring during elevator production and installation, aiming to prevent safety hazards at the source. The standard applies to newly installed elevators, including passenger elevators, freight elevators, explosion-proof elevators, and firefighter elevators, covering the main types of elevators in the "List of Special Equipment" and different drive forms such as traction and hydraulic. The standard specifies the basic content and requirements for the delivery verification of general passenger elevators and freight elevators. Additionally, for special types of elevators such as explosion-proof elevators and firefighter elevators, special requirements such as explosion-proof electrical components and protection of electrical equipment against water are separately listed to ensure the standard's applicability and specificity, meeting the practical needs of industry self-inspection work.
