Under the pressure of delivery timing rules, many food delivery riders often find themselves in a dilemma of "being on time while following the rules, or speeding to deliver on time but breaking traffic laws". Recently, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, became the first in the country to introduce a new policy: the time that food delivery riders spend waiting at traffic lights will be included in the delivery timing system. This measure aims to allow riders to "wait patiently" for the traffic lights.
