Bank of America CEO adds warning about the risk of "Mythos" AI to the ranks of bank executives
Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan has joined a host of Wall Street leaders in expressing serious concerns over the artificial intelligence models developed by Anthropic, such as "Mythos". "This marks a significant shift in the workload and also involves the speed at which these tools impact system vulnerabilities, and how quickly we must respond," Moynihan said. In recent months, the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence models has prompted the financial industry and the U.S. government to begin assessing potential threats. Anthropic claims that the Mythos model, launched earlier this year, has performed exceptionally well in discovering system vulnerabilities. Bank of America is one of the Wall Street institutions authorized to use Mythos, using the model to test its own systems and share information with peers. Currently, the model has not been made available to the public; JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned earlier this week that opening the system to the public on a large scale is as dangerous as "giving ballistic missiles to individuals."
