The dark side of the moon will release new models.
The dark side of the artificial intelligence startup Luna plans to release a new model, whose capabilities are close to models developed by leading artificial intelligence laboratories in the United States, such as Anthropic, showing that the gap between China and the United States in the most advanced artificial intelligence field is continuously narrowing. According to two informed sources, Luna plans to release Kimi K3 in the next few days, with a parameter scale of 20 trillion to 30 trillion. Anthropic has not disclosed the parameter scale of its models, but industry insiders generally speculate that Opus 4.8 has around 15 trillion to 20 trillion parameters. The sources said that according to mainstream evaluation benchmarks, K3 is expected to surpass the performance of Opus 4.8 and will be available for download for free in the form of a "open weight" model, which will pose a significant challenge to American artificial intelligence laboratories such as Anthropic and OpenAI. These companies' high-cost cutting-edge models are currently still using closed source methods.
