The National Medical Insurance Administration issued the "Statistical Bulletin on the Development of National Healthcare Security Industry by 2025", which shows that in 2025, a total of 259.58 million people participated in maternity insurance nationwide, an increase of 6.5854 million from the previous year, representing a growth of 2.6%. In 2025, a total of 35.7381 million people enjoyed various maternity insurance benefits, with a total expenditure of 139.381 billion yuan from the maternity insurance fund. The total amount of medical assistance nationwide in 2025 was 79.424 billion yuan, with 76.6647 million people receiving assistance from the basic medical insurance fund. The assistance funds were further adjusted to support outpatient and inpatient care, with a total of 199.156 million outpatient and inpatient assists implemented throughout the year, with an average of 1,273 yuan for inpatient assistance and 86 yuan for outpatient assistance.
