The increasing cost has caused the price of DDR5 memory modules to continue to rise. As channel brands raise retail prices, the price of DDR4 memory modules has rebounded.
From the middle to late last month, upstream resources have been in short supply and prices have been rising, which continues to support the upward trend in DDR5 memory prices. At the same time, driven by some retail channels raising prices, storage manufacturers have generally followed suit. After experiencing a decline in the first quarter, DDR4 memory modules are starting to rebound. There is a price difference between overseas and domestic memory modules of the same capacity, and the corresponding finished product solutions will also have pricing differences. In particular, overseas original factory secondary-grade particles are in short supply and prices are high. If some PC customers specify overseas original factory particles, they will need to pay a higher price for the corresponding finished product solutions. In the future, as upstream resources are locked in advance to exacerbate supply shortages, the prices of domestic secondary-grade D5 particles will continue to rise, and the price difference between industry DDR5 memory modules produced by different original factory particles will gradually narrow.
