Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday a titanium-based display technology for the next generation Galaxy foldable phones. Samsung said that this technology will reduce the visibility of fold marks on the screen, improve screen durability, and allow for lighter and thinner device designs with higher energy efficiency. This technology, called "Flex Titanium," will be applied for the first time on Samsung's eighth generation foldable smartphones, which are set to be unveiled at an event in London on July 22. The Flex Titanium technology combines Samsung's expertise accumulated during the development of seventh generation foldable devices, integrating advanced achievements in display materials and precision mechanical engineering. The technology replaces the polymer film under the OLED panel with a titanium alloy film and, together with an upgraded titanium alloy plate, creates a dual structure that balances strength and flexibility.
