Yunnan Province allocated 50 million yuan for flood control, emergency response, and disaster relief.
The Finance Department and the Emergency Management Department of Yunnan Province recently launched a mechanism for the rapid allocation of emergency relief funds, timely allocating 50 million yuan in provincial flood control and emergency relief funds to support key disaster-affected areas in carrying out flood control and disaster relief work. It is reported that Yunnan has experienced multiple rounds of heavy rainfall this year, leading to natural disasters such as landslides, mudslides, and flash floods in many areas. Various regions in Yunnan have taken the lead in implementing a refined forecasting and response mechanism called "1262", organizing efforts to carry out disaster prevention and response, and preemptively evacuating threatened populations. Currently, Yunnan has entered the main flood season. The funds allocated this time will be used mainly for the evacuation and resettlement of disaster-affected populations, disaster warning and assessment, emergency response and dispatch, risk elimination and mitigation, disaster statistics and emergency monitoring, the purchase of emergency rescue equipment and materials, as well as the restoration and reconstruction of houses damaged by disasters, effectively ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
