According to the dispatch order of the Liaoning Province Flood Control and Drought Relief Command, Dahefang Reservoir is scheduled to gradually increase the river discharge flow starting at 9:00 on July 14th, with a maximum discharge flow not exceeding 1000 cubic meters per second. After the release of water from Dahefang Reservoir, multiple cities along the river will experience a rise in water levels, and some sections of the river may experience floods exceeding the warning level. Currently, many areas have issued emergency alerts, reminding citizens to stay away from the river. Cities along the river, including Shenyang, Fushun, Anshan, Liaoyang, Panjin, Yingkou, and Shenyang-Fushun Demonstration Zone, have taken preemptive measures to prevent floods. It is understood that Dahefang Reservoir has a total capacity of 22.68 billion cubic meters, making it the largest reservoir directly under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province. During the current heavy rainfall process, the outflow from Dahefang Reservoir has been maintained at 380 cubic meters per second, while the inflow has exceeded 3000 cubic meters per second. During the 2026 No. 1 flood in the Hun River, Dahefang Reservoir played a role in peak flood detention, reducing pressure on downstream river channels. Currently, the water level of the Hun River has decreased, and Dahefang Reservoir is conducting flood regulation in an orderly manner.
