QuestMobile released the semi-annual report on the development of the AI application market in 2026. The data shows that as of May 2026, the monthly active users of AI native apps, AI application plugins, terminal manufacturer AI applications, PC web-based AI applications, and PC client AI applications were 4.99 billion, 6.44 billion, 7.55 billion, 1.72 billion, and 0.18 billion, respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 85.4%, -7.9%, 14.0%, -22.8%, and 20.1% respectively; at the same time, in terms of user stickiness, the monthly average number of times for these five types of applications are 92.7 times, 60.9 times, 51.4 times, 25.3 times, and 26.9 times. Specifically, the TOP10 pattern is tending to stabilize with the first tier consisting of DouBao, QianWen, and DeepSeek reaching 3.82 billion, 1.67 billion, and 1.30 billion monthly active users respectively; under the Matthew effect, the year-on-year growth rates are also highly concentrated on the first tier players, with DouBao growing at a rate of 172.1% and QianWen growing at a rate of 5792.9%.
