According to information from the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the case of suspected bribery involving former party member and deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Han Zhanwu, has been investigated by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution. Jiangxi Provincial People's Procuratorate, designated to handle the case by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, has made a decision to arrest Han Zhanwu on charges of suspected bribery. Recently, the Jiujiang City People's Procuratorate in Jiangxi Province has filed a public prosecution to the Jiujiang City Intermediate People's Court. During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed the defendant Han Zhanwu of his litigation rights, interrogated him, and listened to the opinions of the defense counsel. The procuratorial organs accuse the defendant Han Zhanwu of using his positions as Secretary and Director of the Party Committee of the China Machinery and Electrical Equipment Tendering Center, Director of the Personnel and Education Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Deputy Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, to seek benefits for others, illegally accepting property from others, with an especially large amount, and should be held criminally responsible for the crime of bribery.
