Guigang, Guangxi issued a red alert for heavy rain and a yellow alert for flooding.
The Guigang Meteorological Observatory in Guangxi province has upgraded the orange rainstorm warning signal for Qiantang and Gangbei districts to red on July 14, 2026 at 4:07 AM. In the past hour, there has been heavy rainfall of over 70 mm in Hecheng, Gangbei district. Currently, the intense rainfall clouds are stable with little movement and maintaining their intensity. It is predicted that within the next 3 hours, Qiantang and Gangbei districts will continue to experience strong rainfall of 20 to 40 mm, with some areas possibly receiving over 50 mm, posing a significant risk of urban and rural waterlogging and geological disasters like flash floods.
The Guigang Hydrological Center has also raised a yellow flood warning due to the impact of heavy rainfall. The water level at MaCaojiang Park in Gangbei district is steadily rising, and it is expected to reach a flood level of about 0.5 meters within the next 1-3 hours. The water levels in Dongbojiang and Shitijiang are currently still 0.88-1.20 meters above the flood warning level.
The Guigang Hydrological Center upgraded the flood warning to yellow on July 14 at 6:30 AM, urging relevant units and the public along the rivers to closely monitor changes in water levels, strengthen prevention against floods in small and medium rivers, urban and rural waterlogging, and other disasters, and take timely measures to evacuate if necessary.
