The French Industrial Bank recommends buying US government bonds with maturities ranging from 2 to 5 years.
The interest rate strategist of Credit Agricole CIB of France suggested gradually establishing long positions in 2 to 5-year US Treasury bonds, reasoning that "short-term yields are close to the high point of the year, and holding yields still remains attractive." With the latest surge in oil prices triggered by the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran last week, the yield on 2 to 5-year US bonds rose to a new high for 2026 on Monday.
