The first national pilot project of multiple complementary energy meteorological services is established in Sichuan.

According to the Sichuan Meteorological Bureau, the "Sichuan Province Yalong River Basin Water-scenery Integrated Energy Meteorological Service High-quality Development Pilot Scheme" has been officially approved by the China Meteorological Administration. This is the first energy meteorological service pilot project in the country focusing on multiple complementary fields, marking a key step in empowering clean energy security and efficient development. The scheme proposes that by 2028, the meteorological service coverage of new energy stations in the Yalong River Basin will increase from the current 10% to 50%, develop and form a series of services such as fine-scale rainfall, power trading, etc., formulate joint dispatch strategies and multiple industry standards, cultivate a group of composite technical backbone, and comprehensively build a multi-energy complementary energy meteorological service system with complete observation, accurate forecasting, scientific dispatching, and efficient coordination.
