National Health Commission: Strengthen the management of residents' continuous medication.
Today, the National Health Commission issued a "Notice on Strengthening the Management of Continuous Medication for Residents". The "Notice" aims to establish a scientific and standardized mechanism for the management of residents' continuous medication, providing policy support for the establishment of a fair, accessible, systematic, continuous, high-quality and efficient medication service system, mainly from three aspects. Firstly, establish a sound multi-level management mechanism. Expand the management functions of continuous medication for residents within the region based on the actual construction of information systems in provinces, cities, counties, and closely-knit medical consortia. Secondly, advance the co-construction and sharing of medication information, including prioritizing the use of national standards for data collection, recording complete medication information for residents, standardizing individualized medication management for patients, establishing a sound regional medication monitoring and analysis mechanism, promoting the improvement of clinical pharmacy service capabilities, strengthening the supply of convenient services and establishing a feedback mechanism for clinical medication. Thirdly, standardize the full process management of continuous medication for residents, clarifying the management responsibilities of health administrative departments at all levels and leading hospitals in closely-knit medical consortia. The "Notice" requires health administrative departments at all levels and medical institutions to strictly implement the network security level protection system and data security management system, clarify security risks and responsibilities, and implement the principle of minimum necessary authorization.
