After the launch of the NIO ES8 five-seater version, NIO founder, chairman and CEO Li Bin, NIO co-founder and president Qin Lihong had a dialogue with the media. Terminal data shows that in May of this year, NIO's sales surpassed BBA in 48 cities and regions nationwide. In terms of price, the average transaction price of NIO brand in May was 382,200 yuan, surpassing other luxury brands such as BBA; in June, the average price further increased to 443,000 yuan, with a continuously expanding lead. Li Bin said that this means that NIO has not only achieved results in terms of volume, but also comprehensively surpassed BBA in terms of unit price. He also mentioned that in terms of the source of NIO ES8 users, over 68% come from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Porsche, with additional purchases. If other second-tier luxury brands are added, the number increases further. "Our users often joke that the next stop for BBA is NIO."
