The National Energy Administration issued the "Energy Sector Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction Action Plan". It mentions that by 2028, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will increase by about 1 percentage point annually; the proportion of coal-fired power generation capacity that reaches the current energy efficiency benchmark level will strive to increase by 15 percentage points; a number of zero-carbon low-carbon coal mining areas and oil areas will be built; support will be provided for the construction of a number of zero-carbon industrial parks, with significant progress in energy efficiency and carbon reduction in key industries, and continuously improving levels of green energy use.
