Today, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released the "2026 China Road Transport Capacity Development Report." According to the report, the road transport market in 2025 continued to adjust and optimize, with the capacity structure accelerating towards scale, specialization, and green upgrades, improving the resilience and normal operation of enterprises. According to the report, by the end of 2025, the national road freight transport capacity continued to expand, remaining at a high saturation level. By the end of 2025, the national operating fleet of freight-carrying vehicles reached 11.689 million, a 1.1% increase from the previous year, and the capacity continued to steadily grow. Research data shows that in the current road freight transport capacity structure, fuel vehicles still dominate, accounting for about 50%, but new energy vehicles have formed an irreversible trend in specific scenarios. Among the researched enterprises, the penetration rate of new energy trucks is 44.4%. Among the enterprises that have purchased new energy vehicles, 37.5% chose to "continue to expand the new energy fleet," and 37.5% chose to "maintain the current scale." In terms of application scenarios, the application scenarios of new energy vehicles are mainly concentrated in urban distribution, trunk transportation, ports, and short-distance shuttle in industrial parks. In terms of operational experience, enterprises that have purchased new energy vehicles almost unanimously recognize their energy cost advantages. 87.5% of the surveyed enterprises stated that the energy consumption cost per kilometer is lower than that of fuel vehicles, with the reduction ranging from 25% to 60%, with an average decrease of 42%.
