According to the Zhitong financial APP, on July 9th, the State Council issued a notice on the implementation of the "15th Five-Year Plan Carbon Peak Action Plan". It mentions supporting on-site consumption of new energy, actively developing green electricity direct connection, new energy close access to incremental distribution networks and other green electricity direct supply modes, and promoting integrated development of source-grid-load-storage. Continuously expanding the scale of power system regulation resources, adhering to ecological priority, demand orientation, and optimized layout, accelerate the construction of pumped storage power stations in a targeted manner; promoting the scale development of new energy storage, vigorously developing long-term energy storage; tapping the potential of demand-side regulation, accelerating the development of virtual power plants, and promoting the participation of various decentralized resources in system regulation such as adjustable loads. Gradually clarify the minimum proportion of renewable energy consumption in key energy-consuming industries. By 2030, the installed capacity of pumped storage power will reach around 160 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of new energy storage will strive to reach 300 million kilowatts. The maximum regulation capacity of the national virtual power plant will reach over 50 million kilowatts, and the power demand response capacity will reach over 5% of the maximum electricity load.
