According to the Ministry of Transport, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a typhoon yellow warning at 6:00 on July 9th, and upgraded to a typhoon orange warning at 10:00. The Ministry of Transport raised the typhoon defense response to level two at 9:00. On July 9th, the Ministry of Transport held video conferences with transportation authorities in Zhejiang, Fujian, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Henan, Shandong, Hebei, Tianjin, and Beijing, as well as major ports and shipping companies. They also communicated with maritime agencies in Zhejiang, Fujian, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Lianyungang, Guangdong, Shandong, Tianjin, Hebei, Yangtze River Navigation Management, Beihai Rescue, East China Sea Rescue, Yantai Salvage, and Shanghai Salvage. They emphasized the need for all units to resolutely implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, attach great importance to flood prevention and typhoon defense work, establish bottom line thinking and extreme thinking, comprehensively fulfill political responsibilities, and make every effort to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and ensure the smooth and safe operation of the industry.
