The National Healthcare Security Administration stated at a press conference that by 2025, 69.82 million flexible employees and others will participate in the employee medical insurance, an increase of over 20 million from the early stage of the "14th Five-Year Plan". The National Healthcare Security Administration is planning to launch special actions to solidly promote the expansion and improvement of medical insurance coverage. It is continuously pushing for the cancellation of household registration restrictions for flexible employees in major cities in their employment and permanent residence locations. Flexible employees participating in employee medical insurance can choose flexible payment methods themselves. At the same time, it also encourages localities to include flexible employees in maternity insurance coverage, enabling them to pay for maternity insurance concurrently while participating in employee insurance, and enjoy maternity insurance benefits as required by regulations.
