The National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center detected 72 mobile applications that illegally collected and used personal information.

On July 9th, the National Cyber Security Notification Center issued a notice: According to the announcement jointly issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security on carrying out a special action on personal information protection in 2026, based on the laws and regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, the Network Data Security Management Regulations, and the Methods for Determining Illegal Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps, after testing by the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, 72 mobile applications were found to have illegally collected and used personal information.
