DraftKings Inc. and Flutter Entertainment plc saw their stock prices briefly surging to intraday highs after investor Michael Burry, widely known for the movie "The Big Short," revealed in a Substack post that he had bought shares of both companies. Burry stated that these purchases were new positions. DraftKings and Flutter later gave back some of their gains, rising by approximately 0.5% and 1%, respectively. Burry wrote, "DraftKings' core business is reaching a turning point, and its value lies in the recent transformation I foresee. Flutter has been impacted in the past due to improper capital allocation, but is fundamentally a very well-run and large-scale company." Burry also mentioned that he had added to his holdings in JD.com.
