As one of a series of measures to support the domestic fuel market, Russia has implemented a diesel export ban starting from July 8th. This ban will be in effect until July 31st. Recently, Ukraine has launched frequent drone attacks on Russian refineries in multiple locations, causing a tight supply of diesel and gasoline within Russia and long lines at gas stations. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak reported to President Putin during a government television meeting that the fuel situation remains complicated, stating that the current situation at gas stations has caused public concern. In addition to imposing a diesel export ban, Novak also mentioned that Russia will start importing fuel this month. Putin noted during the meeting that "Ukraine is attempting to disrupt the Russian economy and create panic and anxiety at the social level, but this goal is not achievable."
