In the first half of the year, Tesla's sales in South Korea soared by 192% year-on-year, occupying a 30% share of the imported passenger car market.

The data released on Friday by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association shows that in the first half of this year, the number of newly registered imported passenger cars in Korea was 184,032, a 33.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Tesla ranked first with 56,139 cars, a sharp increase of 192% from the same period last year, accounting for 30.5% of the total imported passenger car volume. BMW ranked second with a market share of 21.3%, Mercedes-Benz ranked third with 16.2%, and BYD ranked fourth with 6.3%.
