According to the Ministry of Education, the recent issuance of the "Notice on Ensuring the Safety of Summer Work in Primary and Middle Schools and Kindergartens in 2026" requires schools and local authorities to strictly control the total amount of summer homework, firmly eliminate the phenomena of assigning homework using mobile phones, requiring students to use phones to complete homework, or requiring parents to check and correct homework. It is strictly forbidden to organize regional or inter-school unified exams or tests for students before or after summer vacation, and exams or tests cannot be organized under the guise of "summer camps" or "study tours".
