On July 2nd local time, the Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao chaired a roundtable meeting of Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK in London. More than ten leaders of Chinese-funded enterprises in the fields of finance, insurance, new energy, automobile, retail, telecommunications, and the head of the China-Britain Business Council attended the meeting, introducing their business situations in the UK and putting forward specific demands on safeguarding overseas interests of enterprises and expanding practical cooperation. Wang Wentao stated that in recent years, China-UK economic and trade relations have continued to deepen, becoming the ballast and propeller of China-UK relations. Faced with the changing international situation, Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK have withstood the pressure, deeply cultivated the British market, achieved good economic benefits, and made positive contributions to China-UK economic and trade cooperation. Looking ahead to the future, the two countries' enterprises can continue to deepen cooperation in the service industry, innovation, and trilateral cooperation. It is hoped that Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK will strengthen self-discipline, compete in an orderly manner, maintain the overall image of Chinese enterprises, and improve their international operational capabilities, risk prevention awareness, and abilities.
