According to two industry sources, Russia has begun importing gasoline from India by sea in an effort to alleviate fuel shortages caused by attacks on its energy infrastructure in Ukraine. The fuel shortage is being felt across Russia, with rationing, long queues at gas stations, and record-high gasoline prices appearing in various areas. The Kremlin stated on Tuesday that Russia is in contact with other countries to discuss importing fuel at reasonable prices. One industry source mentioned that at least 60,000 tons of gasoline have already been shipped from India to Russia, while another source mentioned that two oil tankers have set sail, each carrying 30,000 to 40,000 tons of gasoline.
