Yuda Optoelectronics established a new innovation research institute, with technical leader Liao Weilun serving as the director.

On July 1st, AU Optronics announced the establishment of a new Innovation Research Institute and appointed AUO's Chief Technology Officer, Liao Weilun, as the director of the Innovation Research Institute. The institute will oversee the CPO Optical Communications, AR Glasses, and Low Earth Orbit Satellite Communication Antenna specialist teams, integrating resources in basic research from the three major businesses of "Display Technology", "Smart Mobility", and "Vertical Fields" to accelerate the process of technology innovation and product commercialization. The three major businesses and the Innovation Research Institute will report to AUO's General Manager and Group Chief Operating Officer, Roger Ke.
