SK and KKR will launch a 10GW renewable energy platform in South Korea.

On June 30, SK Group and private equity company KKR announced the signing of a final agreement to launch a renewable energy platform valued at 20 trillion Korean won. In the initial stage, KKR will have management control over the platform. SK will participate as an equity investor and retain the flexibility to acquire control through future discussions. The statement indicated that the platform will become the largest renewable energy company in South Korea, with an operating capacity of approximately 1.7GW and a total capacity of 10GW including projects under development.
