The 6th Cross-Strait Zhongshan Forum was held in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province recently, with approximately 2,000 participants from both sides of the strait and Hong Kong and Macao regions. Meng Fanli, Vice Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Governor of the province, Pan Xianzhang, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, as well as Zhang Ronggong, Vice Chairman of the Kuomintang, and Li Shengfeng, Vice Chairman of the New Party, attended the opening ceremony together with other guests from both sides of the strait. This year's Cross-Strait Zhongshan Forum coincides with the 160th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, making it the largest in scale, with the widest participation of Taiwan compatriots and the highest proportion of young people in the history of the forum. The activities included one opening ceremony, two sub-forums, and nine exchange activities. In July, there will be a series of activities such as the Lingnan tour for Taiwan youth, cross-strait youth sports exchange matches, and "For the Public Good" exchange activities.
