Shanghai International Shipping Green Fuel Trading Platform Starts Trial Operation

On June 30, it was learned at the "Shanghai International Shipping Green Fuel Sustainable Development Conference" that the cooperative agreement on the establishment of the "Green Ship Fuel International Certification System Affairs Center" was officially signed. China's independently developed GSTC green ship fuel international certification system was officially put into operation in Shanghai. This move fills the gap in domestic shipping green fuel independent international certification and is a core soft power support for Shanghai to build an international shipping center. At the same time, the Shanghai International Shipping Green Fuel Trading Platform officially started trial operation. The platform will pilot green fuel certification, registration, trading, settlement, and cancellation in a full closed-loop process. This will cultivate a globally influential green fuel "Shanghai price" and enhance Shanghai's global resource coordination capabilities as an international shipping hub. In addition, the cross-regional green industry chain collaborative mechanism has also been formed. Shanghai, Jilin, and Liaoning have established a cross-provincial green fuel collaboration network, connecting the green methanol industry chain from production in Jilin Tounan, through storage and transshipment in Dalian Port, to bunkering in Shanghai Port, creating a national-level "North Production, South Transportation" green fuel transport corridor.
